We’ll have 2-mile, 3-mile, and 5-mile routes available, so all paces and abilities are welcome. Whether you’re training for a summer race, building your running routine, or just looking for a fun way to stay active in Western New York, this group is for you. Think you can handle 4 beers and 4 laps? The Bottle Rocket Beer Reserve Beer Mile is happening October 11th, and we’re putting your running legs and drinking skills to the test. HOW IT WORKS: Drink one 12 oz. Genesee Cream Ale, run a 1/4-mile lap, then repeat. Four beers. Four laps. One mile. HEAT TIMES: 10:00 AM 10:30 AM 11:00 AM Each heat is limited to 30 participants for a total of just 90 spots. You’ll select your heat time when registering. WHEN: Sunday, October 11, 2026 WHERE: Bottle Rocket Beer Reserve 2182 Seneca St. Buffalo, NY 14210 THE COURSE: Each 1/4-mile lap will take you through the parking lots and sidewalks surrounding Bottle Rocket Beer Reserve. Participants must follow the marked course and running in the road will not be permitted. THE RULES: Each competitor will drink four beers and complete four laps, alternating between the two. Beer must be completely consumed within the designated drinking area before beginning the next lap. No shotgunning, puncturing, squeezing cans, straws, or other drinking aids. TIMING + PRIZES: This is primarily a self-timed event, with a clock available to track your laps and finish time. Official times will be recorded for the first male and female finishers. The overall male and female winners across all three heats will each score head-to-toe gear from Brooks Running! Stick around after your mile for prizes, raffles, and a good time at Bottle Rocket. This event is 21+ and age will be verified at the event. Please participate responsibly. Bring a designated driver, use public transportation, or plan for a rideshare. The Howl-O-Weenie 5K is back for 2026, and this year we’re heading to a brand new location! Join us on Saturday, October 17 at Green Lake in Orchard Park for an all-new 5K course and a fun morning of Halloween running. The race starts at 11:00 AM and is open to runners of all experience levels. Costumes are highly encouraged, so start planning yours now. We’ll also be hosting a Costume Contest, giving you another reason to get creative and show up in your Halloween best. The first 225 registrants will receive a custom Howl-O-Weenie long sleeve tech shirt with thumbholes, while sizes are available. New location, new course, and plenty of Halloween fun.
