The Howl-O-Weenie 5K is back this fall, and this year the race is getting a brand new home!
Join us on Saturday, October 17, 2026, for the Howl-O-Weenie 5K at Green Lake in Orchard Park. The race kicks off at 11:00 AM and will feature an all-new 5K course, giving runners a fresh way to celebrate Halloween with the Western New York running community.
A New Location and a New Course
One of the biggest changes for 2026 is the move to Green Lake in Orchard Park. Runners will get to experience an entirely new course while enjoying everything that has made the Howl-O-Weenie such a fun fall tradition.
Whether you’re looking to race hard, enjoy a fall run with friends, or simply have some fun in costume, runners of all experience levels are welcome.
Come Ready for the Costume Contest
Running is only part of the fun. Costumes are highly encouraged, and the Howl-O-Weenie Costume Contest will be back this year.
Get creative, bring your friends, and don’t be afraid to run all 3.1 miles dressed in your Halloween best.
Get the Howl-O-Weenie Long Sleeve Tech Shirt
The first 225 registered participants will receive a custom Howl-O-Weenie long sleeve tech shirt featuring thumbholes, while sizes are available.
