The ASICS More Energy Tour 716 is still happening tonight, but with the current wildfire smoke and poor air quality across Western New York, we want everyone to make the choice that feels safest for them.
Join Runner’s Roost and ASICS at The Bellevue Hotel in Cheektowaga beginning at 6:00 PM for music, giveaways, community, and a special 716 Day celebration.
While the 7.16K run is still scheduled to begin at 7:16 PM, running is completely optional. We understand that everyone has a different comfort level when it comes to exercising in smoky conditions, and your health should always come first.
You Do Not Have to Run to Join the Fun
Even if you decide not to participate in the run, we would still love to have you join us for the event.
Starting at 6:00 PM, guests can enjoy:
- A live DJ
- ASICS representatives on site
- More Energy Tour 716 shirts while supplies last
- Tote bags and additional giveaways
- A chance to win a pair of the new ASICS Novablast 6
You do not have to complete the run to be eligible for the giveaways or the Novablast 6 drawing. However, you must be registered and present to win. Register here!

If conditions improve and you feel comfortable joining the run, we will be excited to have you on the 7.16K course. If you would rather skip the miles, come hang out, connect with fellow runners, meet the ASICS team, enjoy the music, and celebrate Buffalo’s running community with us.
Runner’s Roost has been celebrating 716 Day with the local running community for years, and we are looking forward to continuing the tradition in a way that keeps the evening fun, flexible, and welcoming for everyone.
