Mizuno Demo Night Brings the Miles Before the Holiday Weekend

here’s no better way to kick off a holiday weekend than with a run alongside friends, and that’s exactly what happened Thursday evening at our weekly community run from First Line Brewing in Orchard Park.

Despite the summer heat, runners and walkers of all experience levels joined us for another free Thursday night run. Whether participants tackled the 2, 3, or 5-mile route, the evening was filled with great conversations, new faces, and plenty of smiles along the way. It was another reminder that our run groups are about more than just logging miles. They’re about building community, meeting new people, and making running more approachable for everyone.

A huge thank you goes out to Mizuno for joining us with demo shoes that gave runners the opportunity to experience some of the brand's newest technology before buying. Testing shoes on an actual run is one of the best ways to discover what works for your stride, and it's one of the many reasons our weekly demo nights have become so popular.

    Featured Demo Shoes:

    Mizuno Neo Vista 3

The Neo Vista 3 is Mizuno's newest "super trainer," designed for runners looking for maximum cushioning, smooth transitions, and a fun, energetic ride. Built with a dual-layer MIZUNO ENERZY NXT midsole and a glass fiber-infused Wave Plate, the shoe delivers a responsive feel while remaining stable enough for everything from long runs to race day efforts. Its engineered knit upper provides a sock-like fit, helping lock the foot in place while maintaining comfort throughout longer miles. Early reviews have praised the Neo Vista 3 for finding the sweet spot between speed and stability.

    Mizuno Wave Rider 30

Celebrating three decades of one of running's most trusted daily trainers, the Wave Rider 30 continues the legacy with updated cushioning and an even smoother ride. Designed for neutral runners, it combines responsive cushioning with Mizuno's signature Wave technology to create a comfortable, versatile shoe that's equally at home on easy miles, daily training runs, or longer weekend efforts. The Wave Rider remains one of Mizuno's most recognizable and dependable models for runners of all abilities.

    Mizuno Wave Inspire 22

For runners looking for additional support, the Wave Inspire 22 offers lightweight stability without feeling bulky. The updated Wave Plate helps guide the foot naturally while providing medial and lateral support, making it an excellent option for runners who experience mild to moderate overpronation. Comfortable enough for everyday training while still feeling lively underfoot, the Inspire continues to be a favorite among runners who want confidence with every step.

    Run With Us Every Week

Our Thursday night run group is always FREE and open to all faces and all paces. Whether you're training for your next race, getting back into running, or simply looking for a fun way to stay active, we'd love to have you join us.

We also host a free Monday night run group each week, giving runners even more opportunities to connect with the Western New York running community.

As we head into the Fourth of July weekend, we want to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday. We hope to see you back out on the roads, trails, and at one of our upcoming run groups soon!
