We had a great start to the Buffalo Long Run Series this past weekend at Resurgence Brewing. Despite a classic Buffalo morning with fresh snow on the ground and sunshine overhead, a strong group of runners came out ready to train together and put in the miles.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the first run and helped make the kickoff such a success. We began the morning with a dynamic warm-up led by Buffalo Rehab Group before runners headed out on either the 7-mile or 14-mile routes. It was great to see so many people showing up for one another, encouraging each other along the course, and gathering afterward to refuel and connect.
This series is all about building community and supporting runners as they prepare for the Buffalo Marathon and Half Marathon, and the energy from the first run set a great tone for the rest of the season.
If you missed the first run, there are still two more opportunities to join us:
April 4 at Runner’s Roost Orchard Park at 8:30 AM
Half Marathon: 8 miles | Full Marathon: 16 miles
May 2 at Third Space Cafe at 8:30 AM
Half Marathon: 10 miles | Full Marathon: 20 miles
All paces and run clubs are welcome. Registration information can be found in the Runner’s Roost bio. We hope to see many of you at the next run as we continue building toward race day together.
