    Looking for a fun and supportive way to stay active? Join our Walk2Fitness group at Runner’s Roost on Transit Rd in East Amherst every Monday from 6–7 PM. This all-ages walking group is designed for anyone who wants to move, improve their fitness, and enjoy the community that makes Runner’s Roost special.

    Each session is led by Don Lawrence, a highly respected coach with an incredible background in the sport:
    • 3× US Olympic Trials USATF Coach
    • USATF Race Walk Executive Committee Member
    • NYSPHSAA State Meet Chief Walk Judge
    • Empire State Senior Games Coordinator
    • WNY Track & Field Official

    During the weekly clinics and workouts, participants can practice Race Walking, Power Walking, or Fitness Walking. No matter your pace or experience level, any walk will do. Don will also share helpful tips on proper walking footwear, stretching, goal setting, and techniques for more efficient movement as you learn how to truly “walk with purpose.”

    This walking group meets at our Runner’s Roost East Amherst location, and is separate from our Monday night run group that meets at The Rock Kitchen & Bar.

    Whether you are just getting started, coming back from an injury, or looking for a new way to stay active, this is a welcoming place to build healthy habits and meet others in the community.

    When: Mondays, 6–7 PM
